RE-AMP Annual Meeting in Duluth, MN

Image: about 100 people sit at round tables in a fancy ballroom

The RE-AMP Network held their annual meeting from September 17-19 in Duluth, MN. More than 100 people gathered at Graysolon in downtown Duluth to connect with each other, share resources, and develop equitable strategies for equitably eliminating emissions in the Midwest. There were sessions on federal funding and voter engagement, as well as breakout meetings to discuss sector-specific topics such as transportation.

The field trip is a highlight of every annual meeting. This year, stops included Enger Park and the American Indian Community Housing Organization (AICHO) , where attendees were greeted with a ceremonial drum and tobacco pipe ceremony before hearing a panel discuss climate justice and treaty rights.

Susan Gaeddert attended to represent both 1000 Friends of Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Climate Table, for which she serves as the Coordinator. Susan participates in the Transportation Hub, which works across states to leverage resources and develop strategies that promote equitable transport in communities of all sizes.

Wisconsin was well-represented at the annual meeting! Most of the Wisconsin cohort is pictured here, and as you can see, we had a good time.
