Field Trip: Trail Building in Rib Lake

Have you ever wondered what it's like to build a hiking trail? Last week, I got to experience just that, when I joined other volunteers in Rib Lake with the Ice Age Trail Alliance to begin construction of a new segment in the Rusch Reserve. I even put together a short video documenting the experience, which you can watch below, or click to see it on YouTube.

It is incredible to see how much can be accomplished in a few days with a well-organized group of dozens of volunteers and their crew leaders.

Happy Trails!
